Well, Okey- Dokey. It looks like the other section where the motor is will have to be opened. It is probably packed with oily sawdust and maybe the motor is burned out. I wouldn't be surprised.
This is the end I need to remove and it is being held by THREE screws. No big deal - - - however, one of the screws is a TAMPER RESISTANT SCREW.

This is what it looks like. Tamper-resistant TORX has a small post in the middle of the drive that prevents a regular TORX driver from working.
