Very Hot - Over 100 Degrees

The last two days have been quite uncomfortable outside but the Tomato plants seem to love it.  All four new plants have set yellow flowers and seem to be getting larger "before my eyes".  The only activity that I have been able to do outside is to water which takes about one and a half hours at least once a day .

Today, it was a tad bit cooler .  And, I had the routine errands to tend to .  I did not get out of the house as early as I had hoped.  I seem to be short on energy lately.  So, I treated myself to a stop at Starbucks for a Caramel Macchiato Iced Coffee and sat in a window seat and watched the world go by for awhile .  One item that was especially important for me to buy today was Probiotics.  For some reason I stopped taking them about four months ago after taking them for about five years following a brief episode  of colitis.  Hopefully, the probiotics will help my tummy feel better .  No date for the prescribed CAT scan yet .  I guess it is time to make a phone call and push it along !

Just a couple more Daylilies started to bloom .  Can't post a blog without  a couple photos of flowers.
It looks like each of my Daylilies are going to bloom this year.  I have a lot of different colors of Daylilies however even though the plants are very healthy they are not big and full.  I am hoping to provide more healthy soil with hopes of the plants getting larger.

Tomorrow I am meeting with the Cemetery contractor to start the process of completing the gravesite. I am especially looking forward to discussing my idea for the headstone . I really like the heart .
Have a Wonderful Day.

Twenty Five Years Ago - Who Would Have Thought

When I was on a four-day week-end vacation in the California Mother Lode I became interestingly infatuated with a Small Historical Town.  My trip was for the purpose of looking for an area that would take me away from living in an expensive busy big city to a quieter home as I was getting older and dealing with rehabilitation following orthopedic spinal surgery because of cumulative injury and disk herniation of my low back resulting from many years working as a Registered Nurse.  The uncertainty of my ability to return to work was looming in my consciousness especially since my pain level continued to be very debilitating .  However, the mobility of my left leg had been restored with the nerve decompression. And, that was a huge blessing.

When I travel and have the time I like to check out different cemeteries that can give me a quick history lesson of the area and the time.

As I was driving on the little winding gravel road and turning at the next corner, I was very surprised to see a headstone directly in front of me from 1804 with a very visible engraving of my first name and middle initial.
It took my breath away.  As I pondered what I was seeing my thoughts drifted to comfort and home !
The Small Historic Town became my home shortly thereafter. What a miraculous time in my life !

It wasn't until ten years later that I decided that it would be a good idea to purchase a cemetery plot in the same cemetery that I visited that first day visiting the Small Historic Town. The cemetery is about a five minute drive from my home and the grave site is under a very large oak tree.
Since the passing of My Special Man in 2014 and his request for me to have his cremains inurned in the same location where mine will be inurned I have slowly (as funds permitted) had the preparation of the gravesite started.  A few months ago the required cement curbing was completed.  The cemetery contractor came to my home to select rock from my garden to use as a representative border decor of my love of nature and my garden .  The next activity is to have a meeting to discuss the headstone.  As I have posted on March 15, 2018, I have an idea for the headstone that I want to discuss with the Memorial Headstone Engraver.

Business is business.  Compartmentalizing helps with carrying on with business !

When I first visited my little town,  little did I know that there would be someone to share my little cemetery plot with ! ! ! With the way I am feeling lately, I think it will be quite a while before I will be joining My Special Man.  But, who knows, I sure don't.

God Works In Mysterious Ways.

Goodness and Love to All.

What Is She Doing

What does it look like to you? Now - you have to have a little sense of humor! Yep, you're right. I am trying out my cemetery plot! You see, there have been so many deaths around me lately. So many friends! And, since I am no young chick, I decided I should start taking care of business.

Ten years ago, I bought a five foot by five foot cremation cemetery plot in our little town cemetery up on the hill. Yes, cremation. That will be the only time in my life that I will ever be SMOKIN' HOT! Are you still with me?

The cemetery has grave sites dating back to the early years of the Gold Rush Era with the earliest known burial in June of 1855.

I need to hire a workman to put in required curbing, probably three feet high and prepare the site for use. My unconditional lovers (my pets) will be with me. I already have the cremains of my little Yorkie dog, Pixie and my little Tabby cat, Puff. And, any future pets (probably Lily) that I may have will be with us. In addition, at  his request, My Special Man who shared five years of his life with me in "Sunset Love" (2010-2014) will also join us for which I feel very comforted and honored.

The other consideration is the head stone. I will have to think about that for awhile. They can be rather pricey.

What's new with you?

IN MY GARDEN there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The Thoughts grow as freely as the flowers and the dreams are as beautiful. - Abram Urban
